Review Scientific Vocabulary

Assignment: Select 5 words from the following vocabulary list:

Scientific inquiry, hypothesis, independent variable, dependent variable, control group, experimental group, data, data table, line graph, bar graph, conclusion, theory, inference, bias, research plan.

Then, for each word make a chart that includes the 4 following parts:
•word
•your definition
•use of the word in a sentence
•translate the word in your native language

Scientific Inquiry Assignment

Scientific literacy involves applying critical thinking skills to everyday life, particularly to claims related to health, technology, and advertising. At this point we have learned in the class about how to state a problem problem and hypothesis by using a given template.

Asssignment: think about everyday and real life problems that could be answered through an investigation. Ummmm...; then, make a post that includes 3 of those problems and 3 hypothesis. Please, follow the formats "what is the effect of.... on....?" for the problems, and "If.... then..." for the hypothesis.

Credits: 100 homework credits
